Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Autonomous Studios LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“we”, “us”, “Savour”), covering the Savour iPhone app and the services it connects to (together, the “App”).
By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Our Privacy Policy is part of these Terms.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms of Service and the Usage Rules in Apple’s standard EULA. This licence does not let you:
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
- rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the App;
- remove or obscure any proprietary notice; or
- use the App to build a competing product, or to scrape, bulk-extract, or resell content obtained through it.
We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
3. Your content
Your recipes are yours. You keep all rights to the recipes, photos, notes, plans, lists, and preferences you create or save in the App.
We claim no licence over your content, and — as the Privacy Policy explains — your library is stored on your device and we do not receive it.
You are responsible for your content and for having the right to save it.
4. Importing recipes, and where we stand on creator content
Savour reads publicly available material you point it at — a recipe page, a public post’s caption, a public video — and turns it into something you can cook from: an ingredient list, steps, times, quantities. That is transformative use. We extract the functional facts, not the creative expression.
What we do
- Attribute. Where an import supplies a source, Savour records the source link and, where available, the creator’s name, and shows a link back to the original on the recipe. That is part of the product, not a courtesy.
- Extract, never mirror. Savour does not download, store, republish, or offer for download a creator’s video or photographs. There is no “save video” feature and there will not be one. Video fetched for analysis is used for that one request and discarded.
- Keep it private. Imports go into your own on-device library. Savour operates no public feed, no recipe directory, and no sharing between users.
- Mark what we guessed. Where AI filled a gap the source did not state, the recipe says so, on the line. We never present our guess as the creator’s words.
What you agree to
- You will import only material you may lawfully access, for your own personal, non-commercial cooking.
- You will not use Savour to reproduce or redistribute a creator’s copyrighted expression — their photographs, video, or writing — beyond your own private use.
- You will comply with the terms of the platforms you import from. Savour is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram, Meta, YouTube, Google, Apple, or any recipe publisher. Their marks are theirs.
If you are a creator or rights-holder and believe the App is being used to infringe your rights, email admin@autonomousstudios.ai. We respond promptly and we honour valid takedown requests.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the App for any unlawful purpose;
- access the App or any service it calls by automated means — scripts, bots, scrapers, emulators, instrumented or modified clients — or attempt to farm, bulk-run, or resell its import or AI features;
- circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limits, device attestation, usage metering, or any technical measure that protects the App;
- probe, scan, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems;
- present AI output from the App as professional nutritional, dietary, or medical guidance.
We may rate-limit, suspend, or block a device that breaks this section. Because we operate no accounts, enforcement is necessarily at the device level.
6. AI features — and what you must not rely on them for
Savour uses automated extraction and, in places, AI: reading a recipe out of text, a web page, a photo, a caption, or a video; writing a recipe from a request or from a photograph of a dish; estimating nutrition; and planning meals.
These features produce estimates and best-effort reconstructions, and they can be wrong. Review anything they produce. Savour shows you every imported recipe on a review screen before it is saved, precisely so you can correct it, and marks any line it filled in rather than read.
- Allergies and dietary restrictions. Savour’s allergy and diet filters work by matching ingredient text. They can miss an allergen present under an unfamiliar name, hidden inside a compound ingredient, introduced by cross-contamination, or simply absent from the source recipe. Never rely on Savour to decide whether a food is safe for you or anyone else. If you or someone you cook for has a food allergy or intolerance, check every ingredient yourself against the actual packaging.
- Nutrition estimates. Calorie and macronutrient figures are estimates, computed from a general food-composition reference and your serving settings. They are not laboratory values and are not suitable for clinical use. Where Savour could not measure something it says so rather than guessing.
- Goals and meal plans. Calorie and macro targets are organisational tools you set yourself. They are not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice, are not personalised to your health, and do not replace a qualified professional. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing how you eat — especially if you are pregnant, nursing, under 18, managing a medical condition, or have a history of disordered eating.
- Food safety. Cooking times, temperatures, and storage or expiry information are guidance only. Follow recognised food-safety practice and use your own judgement about whether food is safe to eat.
The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
7. Paying for Savour
Savour is a paid app. You can bring one recipe in during setup to see how it works; after that, using Savour requires an active subscription or the lifetime purchase.
7.1 What you can buy
| Savour Yearly | 1 year, renews automatically | $39.99 per year |
|---|---|---|
| Savour Monthly | 1 month, renews automatically | $7.99 per month |
| Savour Lifetime | one payment, no renewal | $79.99 once |
Prices are in US dollars and vary by territory. The exact price in your currency is shown in the App before you confirm, and that price is the one that applies.
There is no free trial. We would rather charge you honestly on day one than bill you for something you forgot to cancel.
7.2 Auto-renewing subscriptions
These terms apply to Savour Yearly and Savour Monthly:
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price above for the period being renewed.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your Apple Account settings: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
7.3 Savour Lifetime
Savour Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It does not renew and it is not billed again. It unlocks Savour on any device signed in to the Apple Account that bought it, for as long as we publish the App.
“Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product, not a guarantee that Savour will exist forever. If we ever discontinue it, section 8 applies.
7.4 Restoring a purchase
The App has a Restore Purchases control on the subscription screen. Use it on a new phone, after a reinstall, or if a purchase does not appear. It re-checks your Apple Account and restores whatever you bought.
7.5 Fair use
Savour is unlimited for ordinary cooking. To stop scripted and bulk abuse — not real cooks — we apply usage limits set well above any realistic personal use. If a device goes past them we slow requests rather than cut you off, and we tell you.
7.6 Refunds
Apple processes every purchase, and Apple handles every refund. We cannot issue one directly. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If something went wrong, tell us at admin@autonomousstudios.ai as well — we would rather fix it than have you leave.
7.7 Price and feature changes
We may change prices or what is included. Where required we will give you notice and, for a price increase on an existing subscription, obtain your consent through Apple’s process before charging the new price. Changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for. A price change never affects a Savour Lifetime purchase already made.
8. Availability
We aim to keep Savour working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features that depend on other people — the platforms you import from, the sites you import from, our AI providers, and Apple — can change or disappear outside our control, and a platform change can break or remove an import path. Everything the App does on your device is designed to keep working offline.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, that extraction or AI output will be accurate or complete, or that nutrition estimates will be correct.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of this may not apply to you. Nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business, arising out of or relating to your use of the App.
Our total liability arising out of or relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $100.
Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of anyone’s rights — including through content you import.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms, in particular section 5. Sections 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.
13. Apple
You acknowledge that:
- These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the App (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the App or your use of it — including product-liability claims, any claim that the App fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer-protection law.
- Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and on your acceptance Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
You must also comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the App.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction — except where mandatory local consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted at autonomousstudios.ai/savour/terms with a new effective date, and — where they affect a purchase — surfaced in the App before they take effect. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept them.
